| Security/Compliance - CLAY Capabilities | CLAY was designed in consultation with the US Department of Health and Human Services while the guidelines for HIPAA were being crafted to guarantee that the product would meet the highest security standards. CLAY was in compliance with HIPAA before there was a HIPAA. This means less administrative overhead and better compliance for your organization. In the hosted (our typical implementation) CLAY's security ensures that your organization's protected health information, whether that be images from a digital camera, clinic notes or video, will always be safe. Hardened encrypted username/password control access over an 128 bit SSL encrypted connection. Full access logs and on-system encryption and back-up further protect your information. Data is backed up to New York, NY and San Jose, CA datacenters. Our servers reside at certified datacenters with 24 hour guards under strict lock and key. Our data storage and back-up systems are completely HIPAA compliant so you can feel safe that your data will always be available. CLAY can also be configured in a "non-hosted" format. This means that on inexpensive, off the shelf computers, you can run CLAY in your offices, at your hospital, anywhere you want. This solution can be useful for individuals that want total control over their data. Users or groups that choose this option are responsible for the appropriate access controls and other HIPAA requirements. |
